Jacqueline was a young mother who did not have a good support system.  When Jacqueline lost her full-time job, she fell behind on the utilities and rent and eventually became homeless.  Because she had a three-year old daughter, a Catholic Charities First Step case worker, “Terri,” met with her at the Rescue Mission to offer assistance and support.  Catholic Charities helped Jacqueline and her daughter find an apartment.  In addition to housing, Terri was able to get diapers, food and some clothing for Jacqueline’s daughter through the First Step Program.
